Conditional Sentences
The word ' If ' introduces a statement about the future. This means that we are not be absolutely certian about the result. However,the tense used in the ' If ' clause helps us to be more or less certian about the result.
Examples:
1)- If I have time tonight, I will watch T.V
This sentence has this pattern If + present tense , + will
It is called type 1 condition and it is used to show that a condition is possible or likely to happen there for the result is possible or likely to happen
The condition is possible to happen
2)- If I had the money , I would buy a faster car.
This sentense has this pattern If + past tense , + would
It is called type 2 condition and it is used to show that a condition is not likely to happen or impossible
